D-Series LED Flood luminaires offer more than 120 performance solutions, including a variety of lumen packages, mounting options and color temperatures for customized applications.
Acuity Brands introduces the D-Series LED Flood luminaires from Lithonia Lighting. This highly configurable family of LED luminaires for outdoor lighting applications is designed to replace 50W to 400W metal halide floodlights for significant energy savings. Specifically, the D-Series Flood Size 3 can save 73 percent in energy costs over 400W metal halides.
D-Series LED Flood luminaires feature advanced chip-on-board technology and reflector optics to create a controlled beam of light. Delivering between 3,675 to 13,750 lumens, the D-Series floodlights have an expected service life of more than 100,000 hours, or more than 20 years of nighttime use. They also maintain up to 84 percent of initial lumens throughout the duration of the product’s life.
“D-Series LED Flood luminaires offer the complete solution for flood lighting,” Brad Dobbs, Value Stream Manager, Lithonia Lighting, Outdoor. “These highly configurable luminaires allow users to customize their flood lighting through multiple lumen packages, optical distributions, mounting options and sizes – all while providing substantial energy savings.”
The D-Series LED Flood luminaires are available in three sizes with seven optical distributions and can be ordered in 3000K, 4000K and 5000K color temperatures. An array of mounting options also allow for flexible aiming methods for any application.
Sleek and compact, the D-Series LED Flood family is significantly smaller when compared to traditional counterparts. Offering a smaller footprint without sacrificing lumen output, the D-Series family blends into the environment it illuminates, creating a dramatic impact with minimal presence.

The W Series luminaires feature integrated controls to maximize energy savings in low-traffic or low-occupancy areas such as corridors, stairwells and restrooms.
Acuity Brands announced today the introduction of the Lithonia Lighting® W Series luminaires that feature integral occupancy sensors to manage lighting usage in low-traffic or low-occupancy areas such as corridors, stairwells and restrooms. The luminaires automatically turn on or off as occupants ascend and descend stairs, walk corridors or enter a seldom used space, significantly reducing energy consumption by not lighting the space when it is not in use.
The W Series luminaires are available with energy-efficient LED or fluorescent lamps and can be configured for surface or wall mount applications. The luminaires’ linear-fluted diffuser coordinates with the Lithonia Lighting RT, VT and ST Series volumetric lighting products and can complement the look of both traditional and contemporary spaces.
“The W Series architectural luminaires combine energy-efficient performance with a sleek, minimalist design at an affordable price,” said Dave Ranieri, Acuity Brands Lighting Vice President and General Manager, Indoor Lighting. “To save energy, luminaires turn off when not in use but embedded sensors can easily detect small motions and walking motions that turn the luminaires on. This helps keep occupants safe and comfortable in the environment.”
Ranieri’s presentation titled “Emerging Technology: The Convergence of LEDs and Digital Controls” will explore four critical aspects of how and why to incorporate LED lighting and controls into lighting design, including:
- why LED lighting likes to be controlled
- how controls enhance LED lighting functionality
- how to improve quality and reduce operating costs
- common and advanced LED lighting and control capabilities
- how to incorporate LED lighting systems and controls into real world application

P Series LED Downlighting Modules use seamless point source dimming and instant-on capabilities to generate a look and feel reminiscent of incandescent lamps.
Lithonia Lighting® P Series LED Downlighting Modules from Acuity Brands, Inc. offer increased energy savings, long life and flexibility compared to many competitive LED downlighting modules. The P Series LED Downlighting Modules have a bar-setting efficacy of 70 lumens per watt, which is more than 86 percent more efficient than incandescent luminaires. They are designed for general-purpose lighting in residential and light commercial applications.
P Series LED Downlighting Modules use advanced Center2Edge™ technology to dim seamlessly from full illumination, creating the look and feel of a single-point source. Center2Edge technology triggers the module’s LED board to act like an incandescent point source while dimming. With a wide area of distribution, P Series LED Downlighting Modules can illuminate a room or hallway and are wet listed for use in bathrooms and areas subject to water exposure.
“The flexibility of the P Series modules is unlike any other LED downlighting module in its category,” said Michael Bruce, Lithonia Lighting Value Stream Manger, Residential Downlighting. “Equipped with our patent-pending driver technology, the fixture turns on instantly just like incandescent, and over 60 P Series modules can connect to a single 600W dimmer – trumping the 8 units capable from a traditional LED downlight. This is a huge advantage in light commercial applications.”
P Series LED Downlighting Modules deliver unprecedented versatility through three different mounting options, which provide the ability to fit 6-inch recessed can-style housings from any manufacturer. The product is easy to install for new construction or retrofit projects with the included E26 adapter for retrofit wiring or a splice kit to meet Title-24 compliance.
